Seeking to peg a record

A call has gone out to steel manufacturers to help in a new world
record attempt – to make the world’s longest clothes peg.
Cumbrian fitted furniture specialists Lakeland Fells Furniture are
aiming to create the giant peg to raise money for charity, but they
need a giant-sized spring to make it work.

“We have the wood coming from a supplier, we have the tools, we have
expertise, but we need a big steel coil,” said managing director Andy
